Website Design Principles

- What different types of websites are there e.g. informative, there are alot of different types of websites for eg there are sport, news, intertainment, games and alot more.

- What are the benefits of having a website?  people can share there opinion and there thoughts depending on what type of website you make.

- What are 'documents' online? create and share your documents online and you can access them from anywhere around the world.

- What purpose does a 'web map' serve? for publishing spatial data and interactive mapping applications to the web. ... MapServer is not a full-featured GIS system

- What are 'links'?  links are an address that followes after the website name and when clicking on them they take you to where you saved the link from.

- Discuss why it is important to identify the potential users of a website. before letting anyone use your website you should check who they are and if they are safe incase of cyber bullying or other threats.

- What are the 8 golden rules of good web design?
1 Strive for consistency
2 Enable frequent users to use shortcuts.
3 Offer informative feedback.
4 Design dialog to yield closure
5 Offer simple error handling
6 Permit easy reversal of actions.
7 Support internal locus of control.
8 Reduce short-term memory load.

- What are the principles of good web design?
Web design can be deceptively difficult, as it involves achieving a design that is both usable and pleasing, delivers information and builds brand, is technically sound and visually coherent.

- Discuss why it is important to test, evaluate and update your website? Testing your Website should include testing each Web page for: HTML validation, load time, browser compatibility, bad links and spelling errors.
